Guide to the production of documentaries for preservation of the institutional memory of IFRJ Campus Niterói: an experience report

Starting from the understanding that the documentary, as a cinematographic genre, can be used to preserve the institutional memory of IFRJ campus Niterói, but also taking into account the inductive nature of the educational product proposed in the Graduate School Program in Professional and Technological Education (Instituto Federal Fluminense), this work aims to present the route taken since the very beginning to the end of the development of a guide on how to produce documentaries for preservation of institutional memory, going through the moments of conception, planning, development, choice of target audience and evaluation/validation. Therefore, a descriptive study on the experience of development of the educational product named "Lights, camera, memory: a guide on how to develop documentaries about IFRJ Niteroi." The process was divided into eight moments, namely: conception of the product, planning of the guide, development of the guide, target audience of the proposal, choice of evaluators of the research, general procedures for analysis of data on the validation/evaluation of the product, evaluation/validation of the product by specialists by means of a questionnaire and, finally, analysis of the data obtained through the questionnaire. As main post validation conclusions, it was possible to observe that the proposed guide has inductive character, which is pointed out in elements such as clarity, objectivity and accessible language, besides properly approaching the steps and the production of documentaries about the institution, contributing, thus, to the preservation of instutional memory, having audiovisual as a means for such.
