Thematic Dossier: "Politics and society: theories and practices yesterday and today"

This dossier aims to bring together works that deal with the realities of politics and society in general. The aim is to create a collection of plural and critical texts that, in some way, engage in dialog with the humanistic spheres (History, Sociology, Geography, Philosophy, Political Science, Anthropology, Law, Social Work, Economics, among others) and thus enable multiple visions of reality. The articles (to be accepted) are not restricted to electoral studies, but must have a perception, albeit broad, of power, dispute and society, contemplated in theoretical and empirical reflections on past or present, past or contemporary social phenomena. Contributions in the following directions are eagerly awaited: theoretical analyses on political parties, studies on government configurations, evaluations on democracies and/or dictatorships, democratic theories, social theories, discussions on political representation, Brazilian political thought, Brazilian social thought, theories and practices around social prejudice (racism, xenophobia, homophobia), religious activism (progressive and/or conservative), cultural conflicts, the State, electoral disputes (yesterday and/or today), political participation, political behavior, social movements (old and new), public policies, communication and politics, religion and politics, democracy and public opinion, political activism and the environment, identity and power, relations between culture, politics and society, various social dynamics involving inequality and power, international politics, discussions about the affinities between politics, society and the economy, social and political challenges related to migration (but also cultural challenges), democracy and gender, youth and politics, among others that can be fully connected to the themes of politics and society (such as cultural themes) so dear to the Humanities and Social Sciences.
